OCLI is excited to announce they are partnering with Precision Eye Care in Huntington to better serve the Suffolk and Nassau County communities. This merger brings together two of Long Island’s most elite ophthalmology practices. Precision Eye Care is located at 1700 East Jericho Turnpike.
As part of this merger, OCLI is also excited to announce that well-respected laser cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist and Precision Eye Care founder, Richard Davis, MD and laser cataract surgeon, Adam Bloom, MD and optometrist, Jordan Skyer, OD are joining the highly trained ophthalmology and optometry team at OCLI. They will be serving patients exclusively at the Precision Eye Care location.

Richard Davis, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. He has been practicing ophthalmology in Long Island for 26+ years. Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania, where he became the Director of the Emergency Room at Inter-Community Memorial Hospital in Newfane, New York. Dr. Davis then completed a residency at State University New York at Buffalo, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Davis founded the Department of Ophthalmology at Huntington Medical Group in 1991 and Precision Eye Care in May of 2000. He has been instrumental in bringing the modality of IPL to New York for the treatment of dry eye. Dr. Davis is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Adam Bloom, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in corneal disease and surgery, laser cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Bloom graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in Cambridge. He completed a medical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Dr. Bloom received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital at New York University, and completed his fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Nassau University Medical Center.Dr. Bloom has authored numerous scientific publications, which have appeared in leading ophthalmology journals. Dr. Bloom is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Jordan Skyer, OD, is a board-certified optometrist specializing in medical eye care, including well-vision care, postoperative refractions, contact lens fitting, double-vision correction and postoperative surgical care. Dr. Skyer was educated at the State University of New York in Binghamton, New York. He earned his Doctorate from the State University of New York’s College of Optometry. Dr. Skyer completed his post-doctorate residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He was a Clinical Professor at the SUNY College of Optometry and became Chief of the New York University Optometry/Ophthalmology Health Center. Dr. Skyer lectures on ocular nutritional health and has been a member of the Ocular Nutrition Society since its inception. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
