For those of us who are visual learners, our eyes also allow us to observe problems in a new way and learn about them from a visual approach. Hence why YouTube is so popular!
While you may be able to tell a funny story to a friend by talking, or listen to an educational lecture by hearing, wouldn’t you prefer to see these moments for yourself? For many people, the answer is yes, which is why there are millions of videos out there on the web which provide people with video instructions, tutorials, news shows and video courses to help people learn by watching.

This is a great video for a patient who is looking for a better understanding of how their eyes work and where their vision problem may lie, or for anyone else who is interested in the mechanics of our eyes!
2. “New Glasses Treat Color Blindness” – EyeCare2020
Did you know that an estimated 8% of males and less than 1% of females suffer from color blindness? According to Prevent Blindness America, this genetic condition is affecting the way that many people around the world view color. Luckily, a new lens manufacturer is creating a pair of glasses that work to correct this condition for millions. Watch our own Dr. Silverman (who is color blind) test them out!

If our recent blog post on the topic of eyeball licking wasn’t enough to deter you from this dangerous, yet strange new trend, the scientific minds at SciShow are also sharing with their audience just how dangerous eyeball licking can be. While wearing eye patches may not sound like the most uncool fashion accessory (hooray for pirates!), you do not have to lick your eye into pink eye mode in order to do so. Trust us!
