Dr. Akbar A. Jamall is a highly experienced ophthalmologist with almost 20 years of clinical practice in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of eye conditions. He specializes in cataract care, dry eye management, glaucoma (non-surgical treatment), diabetic eye disease and primary vision care. His expertise includes laser cataract surgery and advanced lens replacement procedures. In addition to English, he is fluent in Urdu.
Dr. Jamall earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College. He completed his postgraduate training in ophthalmology and went on to build a distinguished career caring for patients with complex ocular diseases in multiple respective clinical settings.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jamall has been recognized by patients for his compassionate approach and commitment to preserving and improving vision. He remains dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized eye care across a broad spectrum of ophthalmic needs.
Dr. Jamall joined OCLI Vision in 2025. He currently sees patients in Rockville Centre and Floral Park. Outside of his clinical work, he values time with family and enjoys staying active in his community.
