Biography

Brett J. Karlik, MD, is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with experience performing ophthalmic procedures, including no-stitch micro-incision cataract extraction, pterygium excision, eyelid blepharoplasty, botox treatment, glaucoma laser treatment (SLT), retinal laser treatment (Focal and PRP), and laser refractive vision correction (LASIK and PRK). Additionally, Dr. Karlik specializes in intra-ocular eye injections for the treatment of retinal swelling and holds wave-front certifications for the VISX STAR S4 excimer laser platform.

Dr. Kalik received his medical degree from Drexel University School of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center. He is an instructor for UPMC-Mercy’s family practice residency and as Medical Director of Penn Highlands Elk Surgery Center.
