Biography
Dr. Paul Galstian is an Optometrist experienced in well-vision care and Medical eye care including Dry Eye, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Cataracts and post-operative visits. Dr. Galstian graduated with a Bachelor of Science from New York University. He received a Doctorate in 1991 from the State University of New York’s College of Optometry. DR. Galstian then accepted a position in a private practice inside of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He presented an annual lecture series to both the Ophthalmology Residents and Ophthalmic Technicians of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
For over 25 years, Dr. Galstian has served his Alma Mater as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the State University of New York’s College of Optometry. He has taught Optometry Interns and Residents. He is also on staff at Cumberland Diagnostic and Treatment Center, which is part of New York City’s Health and Hospital Corporation. He examines patients and teaches third year Medical Students from the State University of New York’s Downstate College of Medicine.
Dr. Galstian is a Past President and Former Board member of the Optometric Society of the City of New York, which is the largest local Optometric Society in the United States. He is a member for over 35 years of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association.
He has served on several week long Medical Missions to Peru and Gomez Palacio, Mexico. Dr. Galstian has been an Investigator and Sub-Investigator on multiple Clinical Trials. He has lectured to Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmology Residents, Optometric groups and Ophthalmic Technicians.
