The most common type of ocular allergies is called season allergic conjunctivitis. The conjunctiva is the part of the eye that can become inflamed when triggered by an allergen, such as pollen. People with this type of eye allergies usually experience conjunctivitis when they come in contact with pollen from trees, grass, and weeds. Other allergens that can irritate the conjunctiva include molds, house dust mites, animals, and insects.

After approximately 10-15 minutes, reactions will begin to appear on the skin, indicating what antigens you are allergic to.
