Vision Harvest 2011: Richard’s Dilema

We are in full swing for this year’s Vision Harvest 2011 free cataract day. Over 30 patients are already scheduled for their surgery on Friday, October 28 at River Drive Surgery Center.

I had the pleasure of meeting Richard this week in the office. Richard is 52 years old, legally blind from dense cataracts, unemployed, and without insurance. Because of his poor vision, he is unable to get a job. An all too familiar story I have been hearing since founding the Vision Harvest Program 2 years ago.
