Dr. Iuri Golubev is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery and a strong academic background in retinal disease research. He currently practices at Eye Associates of New Mexico, where he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal disorders.
Dr. Golubev completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and his ophthalmology residency at Indiana University. He previously held positions at High Country Macula and Retina Group of New York, contributing to regional advancements in macular and retinal care.
With a passion for innovation, Dr. Golubev has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at major conferences including ASRS, ARVO, and VBS. His research interests include retinal ganglion cell function, diabetic eye disease, and choroidal detachment. He has contributed clinical imagery to the ASRS Image Bank and surgical technique videos to Eyetube.net.
