Biography

Dr. Vinay Neil Dewan is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in glaucoma management and advanced cataract surgery. He brings extensive experience in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, as well as premium cataract lens technologies.

Dr. Dewan completed his glaucoma fellowship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, after completing his undergraduate studies in biology at Saint Louis University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dewan has practiced in both Arizona and Washington state, most recently serving as a glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. His clinical expertise includes trabecular bypass stenting (iStent, Hydrus), ab interno canaloplasty, GATT, XEN Gel Stent placement, and femtosecond-laser assisted cataract surgery with advanced lens options.

Dr. Dewan’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Ophthalmology, Retinal Cases & Brief Reports, and the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, with studies focused on cost-effectiveness in diabetic macular edema treatment and rare retinal conditions.

He is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered eye care and improving outcomes for individuals with complex glaucoma and cataract conditions.
