After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kristine Lare-Knappenberger earned a second Bachelor of Science in visual sciences, as well as a Doctor of Optometry, from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
Dr. Lare-Knappenberger brings extensive primary care optometry experience to her practice with OCLI. She began her professional career providing comprehensive and emergency eye care for a multi-office optometry practice based in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. She then further honed her expertise working in pre- and post-operative care for ocular and refractive surgery patients, alongside a specialist who performed advanced laser vision, corneal, cataract, and LASIK® surgery.
In addition, Dr. Lare-Knappenberger is a certified maxim sclera lens specialist. She published “Surgical Excision Resolves Pyogenic Granuloma” in the Review of Optometry, in 1997.
