Dr. Peter Chudolij is a highly trained, residency-educated optometric physician dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care grounded in cutting-edge clinical expertise and compassionate, patient-centered service.
Originally from Clifton, New Jersey, Dr. Chudolij graduated with honors from Rutgers University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, graduating magna cum laude. He subsequently completed a residency in Ocular Disease with Omni Eye Services NJ/NY, where he received extensive training in the diagnosis and management of complex ocular conditions alongside subspecialty ophthalmologists.
Dr. Chudolij practices full-scope optometry, including comprehensive eye examinations, ocular emergencies, and pre- and post-operative refractive and cataract surgical care. He has a particular interest in dry eye disease and specialty contact lenses, including Ortho-K and scleral lens fittings, and utilizes advanced treatments such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and radiofrequency therapy for dry eye management.
Dr. Chudolij has served as an eye doctor for the NHL New Jersey Devils. He has also been accepted into the 2026 AOA Leadership Institute and is among the first graduates of the 2025 NJSOP Young OD Leadership Institute. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the Ukrainian Medical Association of North America. He also values community involvement serving as a board member of the local Ukrainian American Youth Association.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Chudolij enjoys traveling, playing tennis and golf, sailing, downhill skiing, and playing the accordion. He is fluent in both English and Ukrainian.
