Biography

Christopher Seebruck, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, graduating with comprehensive honors. Dr. Seebruck earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and was awarded the prestigious Kennedy Foundation Fellowship. Dr. Seebruck completed his Vitreoretinal Fellowship at AIO. Prior to joining Associates in Ophthalmology as a retina fellow, Dr. Seebruck completed a transitional Year Residency at Aurora St. Luke’s in Wisconsin. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the renowned New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Manhattan (2013). He has received many awards and honors, including an American Medical Association Scholarship as well as induction into Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key National Honors Society. For his contributions in research, Dr. Seebruck has received the Shapiro Research Award and the UW L&S Honors Research Apprenticeship Grant. He has extensive research experience in the field of retina, authoring many publications and abstracts, and has served as a sub-investigator for several clinical trials conducted at AIO. Dr. Seebruck is a caring and compassionate physician who is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. He has done humanitarian work in India and Kenya, volunteering his time to Combat Blindness International. He serves as the director of the Vitreoretinal Fellowship Program. This is a two-year fellowship that offers comprehensive subspecialty training in the surgical and medical management of vitreoretinal diseases. His professional appointments include membership to American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.
