Dr. Spencer Langevin was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. He graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Exercise Science before earning his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
He completed his internal medicine internship at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, New York, an affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Following this, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Langevin then completed a fellowship in Ocular Oncology at the Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University in New York City, where he trained under Dr. Brian Marr. He further specialized by completing a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Uveitis at Retina Consultants/Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
Dr. Langevin has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed literature, authored or co-authored three textbook chapters on ocular oncology and retinal surgery, and presented at local, national, and international meetings.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Ocular Oncology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Langevin joined OCLI in October 2025. He specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, uveitis, and ocular oncology. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and two dogs. He also loves to play golf and cheer for the Buffalo Bills, the New York Mets, and the Syracuse Orange.
